Welcome to the Woodbridge School transport website.
We are delighted to have partnered with StudentSafe to deliver a technology-led transport management solution to our parents and pupils, with increased safeguarding as our number one priority whilst also encouraging more parents to use the service to help reduce emissions on the school run.
This website allows you to view the bus routes, stops and timetables and download the StudentSafe Parent App, before placing your booking on the app.

How do I register?
To register, simply click on the “register” button located in the top right corner of the portal’s home page. You’ll need to provide your email address, which must match the one you’ve registered with the School for security reasons. The system will then send a One Time Passcode (OTP) to your registered mobile number for verification. Once entered, you’ll be prompted to set up your password.
My email will not work when registering?
If your email address doesn’t match the one registered with the School, please contact buses@woodbridgeschool.org.uk to update your details on the School’s system.
When registering my email, I didn’t receive a 6-digit code?
If you didn’t receive a code, it’s likely that your mobile number doesn’t match the records held by the School. Please contact buses@woodbridgeschool.org.uk to update your details.
Where can I find the bus routes and timetables?
You can find detailed bus routes and timetables on this website. Explore each route to see bus stops and departure/arrival times.
What if I would like an additional stop?
Our service can be flexible and additional stops can be added if there’s enough demand and if they fit within the current routes. Feel free to contact us at woodbridge@studentsafe.com for assistance.
What if I need different stops/routes during the week to accommodate my child’s regular travel?
While split bookings aren’t available, we understand exceptional circumstances may arise. Please email us at woodbridge@studentsafe.com for assistance.
How do I change my schedule from an Early to a Late?
In the “My Bookings” section of the portal, click on the “edit schedule” button. From there, you can switch between the Early and Late routes and adjust your schedule accordingly. Remember to save your changes. This feature will be available from September.
How will billing work?
Costs will be added to your child’s fee account termly, in arrears.
What are the bookings options for my child on the Woodbridge School Home To School service for this academic year?
- In reserving a place on a bus for your child, you are reserving a seat for the full academic year and we are unable to give credit for occasional journeys not taken.
- Bookings must be placed on the booking portal. If you require assistance, please contact buses@woodbridgeschool.org.uk
- Priority will always be given to pupils who wish to make a booking covering all journeys. However, we aim to be flexible with these services, and passengers are able to book on different daily bus journeys via the app, if required, providing there is space.
- Please note that the Friday PM Departure times will be 1 hour earlier than the Monday – Thursday PM Departure times.
If I book my child on the bus but they do not travel, will I still be charged?
Yes. As you have booked a place on this bus, no other student can take that seat.
How do I cancel / give notice for the bus service?
Cancellations of a child’s space should always be notified prior to the start of a new term; please note, costs will continue to accrue on your child’s fee account until you cancel the space via the app.
What if I need to amend my travel arrangements before the start of term?
Please email us at woodbridge@studentsafe.com, and we’ll assist you.
What if I need to amend my travel arrangements after the start of term?
Starting September, you’ll be asked to update your booking to reflect your child’s schedule for the upcoming term.
What to do if the school bus is running late?
Wait at your stop for 10 minutes after the scheduled pick-up time.
Check the StudentSafe parent app for bus tracking and updates.
If the bus hasn’t arrived, contact the StudentSafe control centre at 01394 331 825.
What if my child misses the bus?
While we recommend being at the stop at least 5 minutes early, our buses should not depart before their allocated time.
If your child misses the bus, you’ll need to arrange their journey to School and please notify us at woodbridge@studentsafe.com

Terms and Conditions
General
- Pupils must have a pre booked seat when travelling on the school bus.
- Pupils may only travel on the days, and to and from the destination that have been pre-booked
- Bookings are for a full day or days, permitting morning and evening travel. There is no discount if a pupil wishes to travel only in the morning or evening.
- In reserving a place on a bus for their children, parents are reserving a season ticket and we are unable to give credit for the occasional journey not taken. The cost of travel will be charged in arrears on the termly fee bill for the regular journeys reserved
- For school minibuses, Year 7 and below children will be kept on the bus if no parent/carer is at the stop to meet them, unless we have written confirmation that the parent/carer is happy for the child to walk home alone. Additional charges will be levied if a driver has to reroute to accommodate parent/carer lateness.
Booking Procedure
School Bus Bookings
Parents must register/re-register pupils each year for the bus service, using the Woodbridge School Booking Parent App.
Journeys booked but not taken are non-refundable.
- The School offers bus service bookings on a first-come, first-served basis. The School will do its utmost to accommodate all requests for use of the service, however, priority will be given to users booking 5 days a week. we aim to be flexible with these services, and passengers are able to book on different daily bus journeys, if required, providing there is space.
- Providing space is available, we may also be able to offer occasional, ad hoc journeys for regular passengers wishing to travel on a day not covered by their booking, or for children who do not normally use the bus.
- It is essential that we know who is travelling on each bus on a daily basis and so any parent wishing to secure an ad-hoc journey for their child must contact the School in advance to ensure that there is a seat available.
- Please contact the School Transport team as soon as possible, in advance, should you wish to make any adjustments to your child’s route, stop or scheduled journeys.
Amendments / Cancellations
A full terms notice is required to withdraw or amend a regular booking on the bus service. Notice must be provided to the Transport Manager in writing or email (buses@woodbridgeschool.org.uk)
Use of the Service
Pupils must ensure they travel on the route for which they are registered.
Parents are asked to remind their children that when travelling on the school buses they remain bound by the School’s Behaviour Policy.
Parents are asked to remind their children that they must abide by the School’s student Code of Conduct.
Changes to Use of the Service
Any changes to a pupil’s use of the School Bus Service (for example: frequency, route, pick up/drop off stop) must be made via the My Bookings page on the Parent App.
The School reserves the right to make route alterations after publication but will provide notice of any such action.
Charges
Charges per trip vary according to the route and the specific bus stop on the route. Parents will be informed of route charges at the start of each term and charges will also be available on the Woodbridge School website www.woodbridgeschool.org.uk. Termly use of the service is billed in advance by the school based on committed bookings made via the portal.
Contact Details
If you have an urgent query about your child’s bus route during service, then please contact the School transport team on 07880261848. You will also be able to message the driver directly via the studentsafe app although they will only be able to respond when they are stopped and legally allowed to use their phone.
Lost Property
Should a pupil leave any item on a school bus then parents should contact reception at school (01394 616000) or the transport team via buses@woodbridgeschool.org.uk to report the loss providing the bus route and a description of the item(s).
Student Code of Conduct
We expect our pupils to behave well on school transport. Everyone has the right to travel in comfort, the following are guidelines as to what is expected, to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable journey.
Pupils must:
- Be ready to board at the allotted time. If late, the bus will be unable to wait.
- Travel on their designated bus only
- Always be polite and respectful to the driver and other passengers
- Follow any instruction from the driver without question – it is for their safety and the safety of others
- Stay in their seats with seat belts fastened
- Keep noise to a reasonable level
- Look after their belongings and keep them in a safe place. Ensure your possessions do not cause a hazard for other students.
- Follow the School’s code of conduct whilst travelling on School buses
Pupils must not:
- Distract the driver, except in an emergency
- Ask to be dropped off anywhere other than their agreed stop
- Leave behind wrappers, cartons and rubbish. If they consume food and drink whilst on the bus it must be disposed of properly.
If a pupil’s behaviour gives rise to continued concern they may be prevented from using the school bus service.
Amendments to Bus Times
In times of extreme weather it may be necessary for buses to run at different times. In these circumstances, notices concerning each bus route will be put on the School website and updated regularly. These notices may be placed on the website at any time during the day, including early morning. Very rarely, it may be necessary to contact parents at short notice to amend a bus time; this will be notified via text message and email to all parents of children travelling on the affected route.
