After a comprehensive search, we are pleased to share that Joe Mathewson has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of StudentSafe.
Joe is an accomplished leader with a proven track record, having successfully built and scaled an EdTech business. With 15 years of experience working with schools, he co-founded and led the award-winning EdTech platform Firefly Learning, taking it from inception to over 900 schools. Firefly and its associated products are used by 75 of the top 100 independent schools in the UK. This unique combination of skills, experience, and vision makes him the perfect fit to lead StudentSafe into its next chapter.
Joe shares our excitement about the future and expressed his commitment by saying, “I have always been passionate about being an expert partner to schools and giving them all the help they need so that they can focus on what they do best—teach. I have been inspired by how comprehensively StudentSafe can already help schools with their transport. Transport has a critical role to play in supporting both schools’ admissions and cost challenges.”
