This website allows you to view the bus routes, stops and timetables before placing your booking on the StudentSafe Parent App.

I already use the bus service do I need to re-register?
Full time bookings will roll over each academic year automatically.

Our normal Term Time working hours are: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
During holiday periods we will check emails periodically.
My email will not work when registering?
Please make sure you are using the email address that you have provided to the school. Please email the School, [email protected] or contact the School on 01342 832407 to update your details.
When registering my email, I did not receive a 6-digit code?
If you did not receive a code, then your mobile telephone number does not match the records held by the School. Please email the School, [email protected]
or contact the School on 01342 832407 to update your details.
Where can I find the bus routes and timetables?
Bus routes and timetables can be found on the StudentSafe website. Here you can view each of the routes in detail with bus stops, departure times and fares.
What if I would like an additional stop?
If possible, our service can be flexible, and we are able to add additional stops if there is sufficient demand and any proposed additional stops if they do not adversely affect the route. Please contact us at [email protected] for assistance.
How much does the service cost?
Fare information can be found on the StudentSafe website. Fares are shown for each individual stop along a route. The fares indicated are for journeys each way.
When will bus invoices be issued and how should payment be made?
Regular bookings are charged at the start of each term. Ad Hoc use is charged at the end of each term in arrears. Please see our fare list for further details. Charges quoted are subject to change. Charges are reviewed annually.
If my child does not catch the bus will I be charged?
Yes, we charge for the service by the term, we do not offer refunds for unused journeys for whatever reason.
How can I cancel the bus service?
A full terms notice is required to withdraw from the bus service. Notice must be provided to the Director of Finance & Resources in writing or email ([email protected]).
How do I book a regular place on the bus for my child?
Bookings can be made via the StudentSafe App where routes, fares, and timetable information can also be viewed. Bookings are made for the school year and are made on a first-come, first-served basis. Priority is given to pupils with regular weekly travel arrangements.
How do I book an occasional place on the bus for my child?
Bookings can be made for occasional ad hoc journeys by using the “calendar/my bookings” section. Simply follow the instructions to book and amend ad-hoc journeys. Bookings are made based on the availability for the selected route/date and are made on a first-come, first served basis. Priority is given to pupils with regular weekly travel arrangements.
What if I need to amend my travel arrangements after booking?
Amendments can be made via the “My Bookings” page. Simply follow the instructions. Amendments are subject to the availability on any given day.
What do I do if my child is absent from school?
You must advise us of an absence by emailing [email protected]

What age are pupils allowed to start using the school bus?
We accept pupils from Year 5 onwards. We might accept younger pupils following a risk assessment or if they are travelling with a responsible older sibling.
What should my child do if they lose their Travel Card?
Please Email the School, [email protected] or contact the School on 01342 832 407. They will be able to issue a new Travel Card for an additional charge of £5 at the school office.
What if my child misses the bus?
We recommend pupils are always at the bus stop at least 5 minutes before departure. Vehicles should not depart before their allocated time. If your child does miss the vehicle, however, you will need to make other arrangements. Please notify the team at [email protected] if this is the case.
What happens if my child is late getting to the bus stop? How long does the bus wait at the bus stop?
The bus will not wait at the bus stop and must depart at the scheduled time.
My child has a friend staying overnight, can they catch the bus together?
Yes, subject to availability. For H&S reasons the friend must be properly booked onto the bus by their own parent as acceptance of the costs.

Terms and Conditions
School Bus Bookings
Parents must register on the StudentSafe app to place a new booking. Bookings are then automatically rolled over each term/year.
Journeys booked but not taken are non-refundable.
The School offers bus service bookings on a first-come, first-served basis. The School will do its utmost to accommodate all requests for use of the service, however, priority will be given to users booking 5 days a week.
A minimum of four return journeys per week are required to have a regular booking, alternatively, you can use the StudentSafe app to book Ad-hoc journeys, subject to availability. Ad-Hoc journeys will not be rolled over each term and will need to be rebooked subject to availability.
Amendments / Cancellations
A full terms notice is required to withdraw or amend a regular booking on the bus service. Notice must be provided to the Director of Finance & Resources in writing or email ([email protected]).
Use of the Service
Pupils must ensure they travel on the route for which they are registered.
Parents are asked to remind their children that when travelling on the school buses they remain bound by the School’s Behaviour Policy.
Parents are asked to remind their children that they must abide by the School’s student Code of Conduct.
Changes to Use of the Service
Any changes to a pupil’s use of the School Bus Service (for example: frequency, route, pick up/drop off stop) must be made via the My Bookings page on the School Transport Portal.
The School reserves the right to make route alterations after publication but will provide notice of any such action.
Charges
Charges per trip vary according to the route and the specific bus stop on the route. Parents will be informed of route charges at the start of each term and charges will also be available on the Lingfield College Transport Website. Termly use of the service is billed in advance by the school based on committed bookings made via the portal. Ad-Hoc usage is billed in arrears.

Lost Property
Should a pupil leave any item on a school bus then parents should contact StudentSafe Team on [email protected] to report the loss providing the bus route and a description of the item(s).
Medical Information and Allergies
Please note that eating or drinking is not permitted on the Home-to-School bus service. This rule is especially important because some students may have severe allergies, and preventing food consumption on the bus helps keep everyone safe.
Parent Responsibility for Collection
Parents are responsible for ensuring that their child is collected promptly and safely from their designated bus stop. The school cannot accept responsibility for pupils once they have disembarked at their allocated stop.
Student Code of Conduct
We expect our pupils to behave well on school transport. Everyone has the right to travel in comfort, the following are guidelines as to what is expected, to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable journey.
Pupils must:
- Be ready to board at the allotted time. If late, the bus will be unable to wait.
- Travel on their designated bus only
- Your Pass is for you only and must always be with you if you want to use the school transport
- If you lose your Pass, you must inform the School Office immediately
- In the event of snow, check the school website before leaving home
- Be always polite and respectful to the driver and all other passengers
- Follow any instruction from the driver without question – it is for their safety and the safety of others
- Stay in their seats with seat belts fastened
- Keep noise to a reasonable level
- Look after their belongings and keep them in a safe place. Ensure your possessions do not cause a hazard for other students.
- If you see anyone behaving badly or causing distress to other passengers, report it to the driver and/or the school office.
Pupils must not:
- Distract the driver, except in an emergency
- Leave any items on the bus including any litter
- Ask to be dropped off anywhere other than their agreed stop
- Use bad language. This will not be tolerated
- Cause damage to the vehicle if you do your parents will have to pay for the damage
- Consume food and drink whilst on the Minibus/Coach
If your behaviour gives rise to continued concern you will be unable to use the coach service.
17:10 departures
All students taking the 17:10 school to home transport are not permitted to leave the school site. They must go to either a supervised club, subject workshop or in their designated study area.
