How do I register?
To register, simply download the StudentSafe Parent App which is available to download from the Google Play Store (Android) or Apple App Store (iOS).
You’ll need to provide your email address, which must match the one you’ve registered with the school for security reasons. The system will then send a One Time Passcode (OTP) via SMS to set up your secure password.
Once registered, follow these steps:
- Open the StudentSafe app
- Select “Make a regular booking” from the menu
- Follow the on-screen steps to complete your booking
- Payment is processed securely at the end. The termly fee for the service is £995.
Services will commence on Friday 4th September 2026.
My email will not work when registering?
If your email address doesn’t match the one registered with the School, please contact office@cityjuniorschool.org.uk to update your details on the School’s system.
When registering my email, I didn’t receive a 6-digit code?
If you didn’t receive a code, it’s likely that your mobile number doesn’t match the records held by the School.
Please contact office@cityjuniorschool.org.uk to update your details.
To help you get started, we’ve created two short videos showing how to make bookings on the platform. Whether you need to set up a regular journey or book transport on an ad hoc basis, these guides will walk you through each step.
Where can I find the bus routes and timetables?
You can find detailed bus routes and timetables on this website.
Explore each route to see bus stops and departure/arrival times.
What if I would like an additional stop?
Our service can be flexible, and additional stops may be added where there is sufficient demand and they fit within existing routes.
To request a new stop, please complete our short form for review by StudentSafe. All requests are assessed at the next half term or end of term, whichever comes first. If you have any questions or need help completing the form, feel free to contact us at cityjunior@studentsafe.com.
What if I need different stops/routes during the week to accommodate my child’s regular travel?
If journeys need to be made on different routes, you can simply click the routes you require per day.
If journeys need to be made on the same route, but for different stops, please contact cityjunior@studentsafe.com and we will assist you with this booking.
How will billing work?
Payment will be taken via the app when you place your booking. Please also refer to the Terms and Conditions and see the Payment and charges section.
If I book my child on the bus but they do not travel, will I still be charged?
Yes. As you have booked a place on this bus, no other student can take that seat.
If I cancel my booking after half a term, will I get a refund?
No. Parents will be billed termly and must give a full term’s notice by writing to cityjunior@studentsafe.com should they wish to withdraw their child from the bus service.
If I start my booking after half a term, will I be charged less?
No. Parents will be billed in termly instalments, irrespective of start date or the number of journeys taken.
How do I cancel / give notice for the bus service?
Bookings are required in advance of each term.
If you wish to cancel your child’s bus provision you must give one term’s notice to StudentSafe via cityjunior@studentsafe.com.
How do I request a refund?
For full details, please view our Refund Policy (PDF).
What if I need to amend my travel arrangements before the start of term?
Please email cityjunior@studentsafe.com and we will assist.
What to do if the school bus is running late?
Our bus companies make every effort to minimise delays, but sometimes these can be out of their control (roadworks traffic etc.).
Please wait at your stop for 10 minutes after your scheduled pick-up time.
If the school bus has still not arrived 10 minutes after your scheduled pick-up, please contact the StudentSafe control centre on 020 3805 7677.
What if my child misses the bus?
We recommend pupils are always at the bus stop at least 5 minutes before departure.
It is our normal procedure to request that pupils do not wait in cars until the bus arrives.
Vehicles should not depart before their allocated time, but if there is no one waiting at the stop the driver may proceed without stopping.
If your child does miss the vehicle, however, you will need to organise their journey to school yourself.
Please notify the team at cityjunior@studentsafe.com if this is the case.
